TAYLOR STREET ARCHIVES ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP

“Growing Up in Taylor Street’s Little Italy.”
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least one member of the applicant’s family must be registered in the Taylor Street Archives.
(Taylor Street Archives application is attached.) To be a member of the Archives, one must have
resided in Taylor Street’s “Little Italy” at some time during their lives. The scholarship
applicant need not have resided in Taylor Street’s Little Italy area.
Applicant must be or will be enrolled (within 12 months) in a college or any other post-
secondary educational program.
The scholarship applicant must submit a story or essay on, “Growing Up in Taylor Street’s
Little Italy,” by the end of the summer. The winning article, along with the name of the
scholarship recipient, will be published in local and community newspapers, magazines and
journals. There is no minimum length.
The $1,000 check can be used by the recipient as they deem appropriate. An additional $1,000
will be awarded if the winner majors in Sociology or Journalism.
